PROFILE

• Pam is a 30-year veteran in the investment industry, having formerly worked at three major Canadian brokerage firms serving the wealth management needs of high-net-worth clients. She accepted the invitation to join RBC Dominion Securities in 2011.
• Pam holds a Bachelor's degree in economics from Simon Fraser University. She is also a Chartered Market Technician (CMT). 
• Pam is a registered Portfolio Manager, a designation that allows her to offer discretionary managed solutions to clients looking to delegate day-to-day portfolio management to a qualified professional team. What sets her apart is her tactical approach to investment management and strong commitment to service, trust & integrity. Her greatest satisfaction comes from the multigenerational long-term relationships she develops with her clients and by helping them achieve success with their financial plans.  She is skilled in advising business families on succession planning, governance and all aspects of family wealth.
• Pam is originally from Malaysia where she grew up speaking English at home and was educated in the Malay language. In addition to English, she speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and Malay. In 1990, she left her family home in Malaysia to pursue her Bachelors degree at Simon Fraser University. Little did she know she would eventually fall in love with Vancouver and make it her home. Today, she resides in the beautiful and idyllic North Vancouver with her two teenaged sons, Deion & Brett. When she is not working, she enjoys life as much as she can - racking up airmiles exploring the world, scuba diving in search of marine life, gourmet cooking, weightlifting, road cycling and hiking.

• Pam is active in the community and has served on many boards and associations. She was Treasurer of her alma mater, the SFU Alumni Association, member of the Rotary Club of Burnaby, President of the Malaysian Association of BC and Director of the FCSI National Council. 
• A strong believer in the importance of educating our children in financial matters, Pam has played mentorship roles with Junior Achievement of BC and the SFU Career Mentorship Program. The SFU Economics Chair regularly invites her to speak to students about careers in the investment industry.  She has also guest lectured at SFU on behavioral finance.  In 2019, she established the annual Pamela Yoon Undergraduate Awards in Economics at Simon Fraser University.
• Pam served on the group leadership team for 11th Seymour Scout Group and was on the board of the Tesla Owners Club of BC. She is also a big supporter of Surrey Memorial Hospital’s Project Eye.
